Don’t let blurry vision, glasses or contact lenses get in the way of your summer fun, a pair of prescription swimming goggles are the answer.
As summer is approaching, soon we can enjoy trips to the beach, outdoor pools and lidos, water parks, views of the coast, rides on lazy rivers or aqua slides. Dreamy days are ahead, full of summer adventures and long days out and about.
Prescription goggles fitted with optical-quality, corrective lenses are a simple yet effective way to see clearly and enjoy everything that summer has to offer.
Prescriptions from -12 to +8 dioptres can be corrected off-the-shelf and we can also create custom-made goggles (needing 4 weeks) for those that need an exact correction.
Mirrored or tinted lenses are available to shield the eyes from the sun both outdoors or in bright, indoor pools. This improves your vision and avoids squinting into the distance. Clear lenses are ideal for general pool swimming or visiting spas and hot tubs indoors.
This is a especially important for contact lens wearers who must avoid any contact with water whilst wearing their lenses in the pool, sea, spa.....and even in the shower. This is avoid an extremely painful and sight-threatening infection from a micro-organism called Acanthamoeba.
We also have a one-stop holiday shop stocking sunscreens, swimming accessories, kid's pool toys, swimwear, sunscreens and even water-resistant cosmetics.
Check any existing goggles you may have now - for their condition, fit and vision, especially if you’ve had an eye test and a new prescription.
Also check if you need a new anti-fog spray, useful for keeping the lenses crystal clear throughout the life of your goggle. The integral anti-fog layer on the reverse of each lens weakens over time allowing condensation to form as we perspire during swimming.
Our team consists of an optician who is a keen swimmer and optical assistants who are available to offer advice on the best goggle to suit your needs.
We are here to help and answer any queries you may have and finally, always try on a new goggle at home first for comfort, eye seal and fit, in case a refund or exchange is needed.
