Sutton Swimwear WHALE swimming goggles including prescription lenses
Offering great value and an exceptional power range, the Sutton Swimwear WHALE has a moulded, soft mount for added comfort around the eyes and across the nose.
With one of the widest power ranges available in an off the shelf goggle (from +6.00 to -12.00*) this model also has green tinted lenses with a stylish purple mirrored finish and the latest anti-fog technology. The easily adjustable, split strap ensures great fitting.
IMPORTANT - read the fitting directions below to avoid double vision
*As the power of a goggle increases, the distance between the centre of the lenses needs to match that of your eyes as closely as possible to avoid double vision. As this goggle has a fixed width bridge, ensure you try them on when they arrive to ensure a good fit and no double vision. Any issues, replace the protective sticker back on the lenses and contact us.
Lenses:
• Height: 65mm
• Width: 75mm
• Depth: 18mm
Approximate optical centres: 67mm
Flat lenses (base curve ≈0)
SW2 general purpose eyewear
You can also order others from our collection of goggle cases
Swimming goggles have a silicone layer on the inner surface to help prevent droplets forming and so fogging the lens. Overtime this can breakdown, so a bottle of anti-fog spray is a good investment.

Hi there, though I was delighted to be able to order high presecription (minus 10) goggles, when they arrived I realised that they don't fit. They are too big for me over the nose. I have a very narrow face and nose, and I need an adjustable nose bridge. I've used them, but because they are too far apart, I have double vision with the goggles. Its a pity. Kind regards. It is really important (for the reasons you have found) to try this particular goggle on, following our fitting guide tips and video;

The vision of these goggles was not great. Made the centre line in a swim lane out of alignment.

As well as trying on the goggles before a swim to check the vision, there is extra information on our webpage with this goggle as follows;As the power of a goggle increases, the distance between the centre of the lenses needs to match that of your eyes as closely as possible to avoid double vision. As this goggle has a fixed width bridge, ensure you try them on when they arrive to ensure a good fit and no double vision.

They feel great & are super clear. But, they give me double vision. Like I am wearing old school 3D glasses. Tried in both pool & open water, no difference. It’s like the bridge is large & I need a medium. Will stick with my Corals.

The clear lenses and soft moulded frame ensure the Whale optical goggle is very comfortable.
However, because there is no option to change or adjust nose bridge, there is a note on the webpage;As the power of a goggle increases, the distance between the centre of the lenses needs to match that of your eyes as closely as possible to avoid double vision. As this goggle has a fixed width bridge, ensure you try them on when they arrive to ensure a good fit and no double vision.
Any issues, replace the protective sticker back on the lenses and contact us.As you have found, the Coral has 3 interchangeable nose bridges to prevent this.

My options for prescription goggles are very limited. Whilst not my full correction, the closest I could get was +6 and +6 which is much better than none. Whilst the goggles seemed to just about hold on when tested dry, in the pool there was no seal at all and the goggles are completely unusable. I thought the large seal would make them a better fit than my current leaky goggles but definitely not. Not sure if prescription goggles are made smaller but these just don't fit me.

Thank you for leaving a review and testing the Whale goggle for hold against the eyes first.
As you say, the fit is so important to get right but options are limited with a high prescription.Here is a smaller goggle that is available with +8.00 lenses;

We recommend that our swimmers test a new goggle for this before their first swim to avoid leaks.
And to check for clear vision through the lenses.
